Convert audio and video files

Upload any audio or video file ffmpeg can read and get it back as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG, Opus or WMA. Video uploads keep only their sound. Bitrate and sample rate are yours to pick; the defaults suit speech and music alike.

How it works

  3. Download the result. It is deleted after 60 minutes.

Questions

Which formats can I upload?

Anything ffmpeg reads: MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG, Opus, WMA, AIFF, and video in MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, FLV, WMV, M4V, TS and more.

Is quality lost?

Converting to WAV or FLAC loses nothing. Converting to MP3, AAC, M4A, OGG, Opus or WMA is lossy; 192 kbps or higher keeps the loss hard to hear, and re-encoding an already lossy file loses a little more.

What happens to my file?

It is uploaded to our server, processed there, and both the upload and the result are deleted automatically 60 minutes after the job started. Nothing is kept, nothing is used for anything else, and nobody looks at it.

What are the limits?

Files up to 500 MB and 3 hours long. One job runs at a time on the server, so at busy moments yours may wait a little.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.
